Erin Vey describes herself as a dog lover first and a dog photographer second. She is absolutely crazy about them, especially Gracie—her Great Dane—that frequently makes guest appearances on her blog and is even present in her company logo.

Erin approached Ribbons of Red in need of a custom intro page for her already existing BluDomain website. She wanted an intro page that was custom tailored specifically towards her business needs. We provided links to her Twitter account and Facebook page so she could connect with clients (and other photographers) on a more personal level. Erin's web presence currently consists of four main areas: website, blog, education + workshops, and stock photography. We wanted to make it quick and easy for users to find, and visit, their specific area of interest. We also made sure to include basic SEO for search related inquiries. And, of course, the intro page wouldn't be complete without a cute set of dog themed icons!

Along with a custom intro page, Erin wanted to create her own personal stock photography website. Cleverly named 'The Barkives', users can search by breed, dog part, and photo orientation to immediately narrow a search. The website is heavily based on a tagging functionality, which allows users to search by popular terms such as: inside, couch, contemporary, grass, etc. The website's look and feel was based on Erin's already established branding and her new intro page design. Although the website is marketed towards a more commercial industry, anyone can purchase digital files or prints of Erin's fine art dog photography. We even created a section on the website called "Dog Tails" which gives users a behind the scenes look at some of the lovable Barkive dogs.
